Large turn-out as Kogi holds supplementary polls

The supplementary election being held in 91 polling units witnessed an impressive turn out of voters across the 18 affected local governments areas of Kogi State.

Accreditation commenced as early as 8.00 a.m in most of the polling stations as electoral officials as well materials arrived early.Reports from most of the local government areas indicate that the processes were peaceful.

At Olamaboro, Ankpa, Adavi, Yagba East and Yagba West,Kabba/Bunu,Kogi and Ijumu local government areas, hundreds of voters came out to cast their votes.Following the Dekina incident, where INEC office and election materials were burnt down by yet to be identified arsonists, the police took stringent security measures to forestall further occurrence. .
