Nigeria U-20s coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has ordered his players back in camp to kick- start preparations for the final round of the Africa U-20 Nations Cup qualifier against Sudan.
The Flying Eagles who defeated Burundi 2-1 last weekend to secure their passage in to the next round on a 3-1 aggregate scoreline were earlier scheduled to embark on a 10- day break, but have been ordered to resume camping on Wednesday (today) by Amuneke.
“We have been ordered back to camp to start preparations for the game against Sudan,” a member of the squad revealed.
“After the game against Burundi, we were told to embark on a 10- day break, but the coach has decided to change his mind.
“We will begin preparations for the game against Sudan today and we hope to make it to Zambia.”
Sudan will host the first leg of the qualifier on July 8, while the return fixture will be played in Nigeria a fortnight later.
The Flying Eagles who have won seven African U-20 titles in the past won the last edition of the competition in Senegal.
Zambia will host the next edition of the competition in 2017.
