President Muhammadu Buhari may have to wade into the embarrassment that has trailed Nigeria’s Olympic participation and more specifically ” because everything is upside down,” Samson Siasia reckons.
The Dream Team Head Coach in a no holds barred interview with sources revealed that besides the backlog of allowances owed the team, Salaries are owed the Coaches and the team was embarrassed to hear the Nigeria Football Federation had demanded that the second jerseys of the team be returned to the Country.
The news of the jerseys filtered in during the week with an official of the NFF fingered to be in the center of the storm, though the FA had attempted to deny the reports.
Siasia revealed to sources that FA and Team Official, Siji Olagunju was instructed to return the team’s jersey – meanwhile General Secretary, Sanusi Mohammed had been identified as the official who put the call through – before the team even qualified for the quarter final of the Football Olympic tournament.
While his revelations were bold and daring, Siasia said he was aware of the victimization and backlash that will follow as he called on President Buhari to help save the situation in Brazil.
