Update On Trial Of The Senate President Bukola Saraki

The trial continued with the cross examination of the witness which focussed on count 11 where the witnessed gave details of how the said Three Hundred and Seventy Five Million Naira loan obtained from the guaranty trust bank was converted into Dollars and Pounds sterling.

The witness told the tribunal that Saraki used the Three Hundred and Seventy Five Million Naira loan to buy Number Eight and Number Seven Wick taker Street, London in 2011 and 2015 respectively.

When asked by the council to the defense, Paul Usoro, how the commission came about the said properties which formed part of count 11, the witnesses said in the course of the investigation they obtained unofficial information from their London property from their foreign partners who are yet to feed them with official document but promise to do so in the future.

The witness also confirmed that there are controversy on the title document of a property mentioned in count 5.
