Kano Pillars Signs 5 New Players Ahead Of New Season
Kano Pillars Football Club has signed five new players ahead of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Premier Football League season, its media officer, Idris Malikawa, said on Wednesday.
The media officer told the NAN in Kano that the players had since arrived the city , to take up their jobs.
Malikawa said that the quality of the players signed would help the club to bounce back.
According to him the players are “young and experienced”.
“By securing the services of such talented stars, the club will certainly hit the ground running when the league campaign kicks off next month ,’’ he said.
Some of the signed players included Jonathan Zekeye and Tijani Adamu from Dolphins FC of Portharcourt .
Others included Pius Ibrahim and Manir Ubale from Nasarawa United, and Sadik Yusif from a Norwegian club.
Malikawa said that the technical crew was working hard to blend the old and new players, toward forming a formidable team.
Kano Pillars sacked 10 players based on poor performance last week.
The team finished seventh in the NPFL last season and also ended the season without trophies or continental tickets.
