Zamalek’s Yusuf Tips Club To Upstage Enyimba
Moruf Yusuf, the Nigerian and Zamalek of Egypt player has tipped his side to upstage the reigning Nigerian champion, Enyimba of Aba, when the two sides clash on June 17 in Port Harcourt.
Both Enyimba and Zamalek are pooled in Group B of the 2016 CAF Champions League alongside ES Setif of Algeria and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
Enyimba will host the five-time African champions, Zamalek, on the opening match day of the Champions League money-spinning group stage. Yusuf, however, said that both Zamalek and Enyimba would progress to the knockout stage of the competition ahead of Entente Sportive Setif and Sundowns.
“It is an interesting group, but I can’t say what the result of our game against Enyimba will be, but I am sure Zamalek will finish as group leaders and may even upstage them in the first match, while Enyimba will be the runners up,” he said. Enyimba has won the Champions League twice in 2003 and 2004.
